After dating for three years, Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey's relationship is still going 

strong. The couple started dating quietly several months before their romance was confirmed 

in the summer of 2019 when they were seen holding hands and cuddling. 

Recently, on April 7, they announced their engagement with a series of monochrome images 

on social media. In the first slide, Christian proposed to Olivia with an oval-shaped diamond 

engagement ring. The couple's engagement photos show them dressed casually, with Olivia 

wearing shorts and an oversized jacket and Christian wearing a sweater and a button-up shirt. 

While the couple celebrates their engagement, let's take a look at Christian's journey to becoming 

a successful football player.

The Family of Christian has a Football Legacy in Their Roots.

Aside from Christian, the McCaffrey family boasts other notable football players. Ed McCaffrey, 

a former NFL player and Stanford Cardinal alum, is the father of Christian and has another son 

who currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers. Ed spent 13 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver,

primarily playing for the New York Giants.

A player in the San Francisco 49ers team is named Christian.

In the 2017 NFL Draft, Christian was chosen as the eighth overall pick by the Carolina Panthers. 

While playing for the team, he held the position of running back and return specialist, wearing 

the number 22 on his jersey. However, in October 2022, he joined the San Francisco 49ers after 

leaving his previous team that he had signed up for following his junior season with the Stanford

 Cardinals.

A prestigious university was where he pursued his studies.

During his time as a student at Stanford University, Christian excelled as the running back and 

also played a vital role as the kick and punt returner for the Stanford Cardinals. In 2015, he made 

a significant contribution to the team by setting the NCAA record for all-purpose yards, with a

 remarkable 3,864. His outstanding performance earned him second-team All-Pro honours from 

the Associated Press in 2018.

Olivia Culpo has been his girlfriend since 2019.

It was previously confirmed that Christian and Olivia started dating in 2019, and 

they have remained a loving couple even after three years. Olivia, who is 30 years 

old with striking brown hair, took to Instagram to show her support for her partner 

during the Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers game on January 22, 2023.

Numerous records have been established by Christian in his

career as a professional player.

In 2018, Christian achieved a remarkable feat by accumulating 50 running yards and 50 receiving 

yards in five consecutive games spanning from weeks 9 to 13 of the season, setting a new record. 

Furthermore, he entered NFL history books as the first rookie running back to record a minimum of 

70 catches and five receiving touchdowns when he initially joined the Carolina Panthers in 2017.
