Nic Kerdiles, the former fiancé of Savannah Chrisley, star of Chrisley Knows Best, has tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident, as reported by WRKN News 2, a local news outlet in Nashville. He was 29 years old.

The onetime professional hockey player, known for his appearances on both the reality series and its spinoff, Growing Up Chrisley, was involved in the incident on Wheless Street in Nashville at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Kerdiles proceeded through a stop sign while riding his Indian Motorcycle, ultimately colliding with a BMW.

Local authorities indicated that the impact occurred on the driver's side of the BMW. After the accident, Kerdiles was swiftly transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, as WRKN reported. It was also mentioned that investigators confirmed there were "no indications of impairment on the part of either driver," and it is unlikely that charges will be filed against the BMW driver.

As of now, no response has been received from a representative of Chrisley in regard to EW's request for comment, and attempts to reach a spokesperson for the Nashville Police Department have been unsuccessful.

Chrisley and Kerdiles, who commenced their relationship in November 2017, publicly announced their engagement in late 2018, but in 2019, they made the difficult decision to call off their wedding. Come July 2020, they officially parted ways, as conveyed by Chrisley in a now-deleted Instagram post in September of that year.

"At that time," she shared, "there's no animosity between us... and to be honest... that's what makes bidding farewell even more challenging." She went on to express, "We hold nothing but love, regard, and admiration for one another, but it's time for each of us to forge ahead on our own paths."

Preceding his career in real estate, Kerdiles garnered recognition as a professional hockey player, notably with the Anaheim Ducks from 2014 to 2017 and subsequently with the Winnipeg Jets in 2018. Recently, on his Instagram, he reflected on the rapid pace of life's changes.

"In this journey," he remarked, "time seems to slip through our fingers more swiftly with each passing day." He continued, advising, "I will never again take these moments for granted, and I extend the same counsel to all. Love is boundless, and its discovery is a rarity in this world. I am profoundly grateful for the unwavering affection of my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews."
