Chad Michael Murray addresses Erin Foster's claim of infidelity with Sophia Bush

"I consider myself fortunate to be in my current position."

Chad Michael Murray simply desires to focus on the present moment. In a recent conversation with E! News, the actor addressed his ex-girlfriend Erin Foster's assertions about him allegedly cheating on her with Sophia Bush in the early 2000s.

Murray expressed his reluctance to delve into the details, stating, "It's not a path I want to revisit because there's no ultimate victor in such matters. I consider myself fortunate to be in the positive space I am today."

"I embrace the present, the now, and the future," he continued. "Life has undergone profound changes for me since my youth, and I strive to inhabit this moment—always. You won't catch me expressing negativity or causing harm to anyone. It's just not who I am, and I won't go down that path."

Murray and Foster were a couple from 2001 to 2002. Murray and Bush officially entered into a relationship in 2003 while working together on One Tree Hill. Unfortunately, their marriage in 2005 lasted only five months.

"I have my share of regrets, but dwelling on the past is not my style," Murray added. "Every day, I aim to move forward, appreciating the breath in my lungs, the vitality in my step, and the determination to face each new day with the belief that the sun will rise on a beautiful tomorrow."

These remarks followed Foster's revelation on her podcast, where she shared, "Yeah, he definitely cheated on me with her, in a pretty egregious way. While we were living together. Pretty cool." (Representatives for Bush and Murray declined to comment at the time.)

Erin's spontaneous comments on the podcast were prompted by Sara discussing a recent DeuxMoi gossip item featuring an old photo of Erin and Murray, stating, "he apparently cheated on her with Sophia Bush."

However, Erin has moved on, having married businessman Simon Tikhman in 2019. "I've moved on. I'm over it now. I mean, just barely. Just barely over it," she humorously remarked on the podcast last month.
