Flowers and gifts adorned the scene as they playfully danced around the whispers of their rumored romance

Jennifer Hudson and Common have extended their courtside affection to the world of broadcast and streaming.

Competing for the title of the most awarded couple, EGOT recipient Hudson and EGO-holding (cue Beyoncé) Common officially made their long-rumored and sporadically captured romance public. Hudson welcomed the rapper, actor, and activist onto her eponymous daytime talk show.

To kick things off, Common makes a grand entrance, holding a massive bouquet of flowers—a gesture one typically reserves for a visit to a daytime talk show host when there's no romantic involvement. The conversation takes an interesting turn when JHud, with impeccable timing, pops the million-dollar question: Is Common in a relationship? This marks the official transition into rom-com territory for this dynamic duo.

"I'm in a relationship with someone truly extraordinary," Common reveals. "She's not just beautiful; she's intelligent, deeply spiritual, and down-to-earth. She's incredibly talented." And, as if that weren't impressive enough, Common drops the bombshell that she's an EGOT winner, clinched an Oscar for her debut film (cue the Beyoncé moment), and even hosts her own talk show.

Then, in a surprising twist (cue classic rom-com vibes), Common decides to turn the tables and inquire if Hudson is currently in a relationship.

"I'm dating this guy, and I am genuinely happy," she reveals. At this juncture, neither has explicitly confirmed nor denied their relationship status, and it's starting to feel like a scene straight out of a Nancy Meyers film – time for something significant to happen.

However, as Common describes his relationship as "a happy place for me," the audience is practically ready to usher the pair down the aisle. "She's the one!" exclaims a love-struck audience member, prompting Common to respond, "Speak on it."

Later in the show, Hudson and Common chat about attending a Chicago Bulls game together, with a large screen behind them showcasing a snapshot of them courtside, undeniably looking like a couple. In what can only be described as a daytime TV date night, Common surprises his interview partner with a pair of Nikes, ready to coach her as if he's Omar Epps and she's Sanaa Lathan (...cue Beyoncé).
