Jim Parsons describes returning to his Big Bang Theory character on Young Sheldon as an 'oddly beautiful' experience
"The actor hinted that his upcoming appearance in the series finale had just the right touch of uniqueness to avoid being creepy."
The moment is nearly upon us for Young Sheldon to encounter his older self.
Jim Parsons is returning to his iconic role from The Big Bang Theory in the final episode of the spinoff series. On Friday's episode of Today, he shared his thoughts on the experience, describing it as "Very weird. Also very beautiful" when queried about his feelings on revisiting the character.
Parsons, aged 51, has lent his voice to "Young Sheldon" throughout its seven-season journey, serving as the show's narrator. However, the series finale on May 16 will be a first, as it features characters from the original series appearing on-screen. Parsons, alongside his "Big Bang Theory" colleague Mayim Bialik, will return to their roles as the endearingly awkward genius Sheldon Cooper and the somewhat less awkward genius Amy Farrah Fowler.
The specifics of Parsons and Bialik's on-screen reunion are currently shrouded in secrecy.
