She also adores "I'm Just Ken."

Interested in seeing Kristen Stewart appear in a Marvel film? Well, she's open to the idea with just one condition: Greta Gerwig's involvement.

During a recent interview on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, the Love Lies Bleeding actress expressed her views on the Marvel machine. She mentioned that giving a clear "yes" or "no" response to whether she'd consider donning a superhero suit would be "silly." However, she added that the likelihood of her ever doing so is slim.

"It sounds like an absolute nightmare, actually," she quipped.

When Amanda Hirsch, the host, suggested to Stewart that she could see her playing Mary Jane Watson from the Spider-Man comics, Stewart responded, "I enjoy big movies because I want people to see them when I'm part of them." Nonetheless, she noted, "But the system would need to undergo a transformation. You'd have to invest significant funds and trust in one individual."

"It just doesn't happen," she expressed, adding, "Consequently, what occurs is this strange, algorithmic experience where any sense of personal connection fades away. However, perhaps the world might change..."

She subsequently confessed, "Should Greta Gerwig extend an invitation for me to participate in a Marvel movie, I would certainly accept."

Stewart, renowned for her roles in both big-budget hits and independent films, expressed her admiration as a "superfan" of Gerwig's highly successful Barbie project. Additionally, she shared how deeply touched she was by Ryan Gosling's rendition of "I'm Just Ken" during the 2024 Oscars.

"I found myself in tears and laughter as I watched," she remembered. "It was so emotional, seeing Greta watching it. That moment when they showed her, front-row, singing along and witnessing the very movement she helped ignite, it was overwhelming."

The summer's big hit, featuring Margot Robbie as one of the lead dolls, garnered eight nominations at this year's Academy Awards. Among them, it clinched the Best Original Song category for Billie Eilish and Finneas' "What Was I Made For?" Additionally, Kristen Stewart secured her inaugural Oscar nomination at the 2022 ceremony for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Pablo Larraín's Spencer.
