Jeff Probst's recent revelation to Entertainment Weekly about the lack of concrete plans for Survivor's monumental fiftieth season left fans in suspense. However, the tides have quickly changed, and anticipation is mounting as details for the milestone season emerge.

At a riveting Survivor Q&A session hosted by EW Editor in Chief Patrick Gomez at the Ovation Hollywood complex in Los Angeles, Probst dropped a bombshell: Survivor 50, slated to commence filming around Memorial Day 2025 and airing in the spring of 2026, will mark a historic reunion of all returning players.

Excluding Bruce Perreault, whose time on Survivor was cut short due to injury early in his debut season, the show has embarked on its lengthiest consecutive run of seasons featuring entirely new contestants. As Survivor currently airs its 46th season on CBS, it marks a significant milestone since the introduction of returning players in Survivor: All-Stars back in season 8. Remarkably, the new era beginning with Survivor 41 has seen no returnees, with the trend set to continue through seasons 47 and 48, as confirmed by the host in an interview with EW.
