In a dramatic turn of events, a small aircraft met with disaster in an El Cajon neighborhood on Sunday evening, shortly after 6 p.m. Heartland Fire swiftly confirmed the unsettling incident.


Emergency responders from Heartland Fire were dispatched promptly to the intersection of Lily Avenue and Clarke Drive at 6:16 p.m. Upon arrival, they were met with a chaotic scene as multiple power lines lay in disarray, a consequence of the crash. Notably, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDGE) mobilized quickly to secure the live wires, mitigating further potential hazards.
