Liverpool University will be hosting 'Tay Day' in anticipation of Taylor Swift's upcoming tour dates

Liverpool is gearing up to welcome one of the globe's most prominent pop icons - Taylor Swift. With a plethora of events scheduled, her visit is poised to etch a memorable chapter in the city's narrative.
The renowned "Shake It Off" singer is set to grace Anfield Stadium with her Eras tour for a triumphant three-day stint commencing on June 13th.
On the preceding day, the University of Liverpool will be holding 'Tay Day,' an opportunity for her admirers, students, and educators to engage in discussions about the "cultural sensation known as Taylor Swift."
The discussion is just one of the many events lined up in the city before the shows begin - for Swifties, it'll feel like living out their Wildest Dreams.

"Tay Day won't mark the debut of Taylor Swift's presence in academia. Back in 2022, the University of Texas initiated a course dedicated to the singer.
At the upcoming conference on June 12, scholars from various European institutions will delve into all facets of Taylor Swift's work.
Following these discussions, researchers will craft essays inspired by Swift's music, each selecting a track of their preference.
Dr. Sam Murray and Dr. Amy Skjerseth, both organizers of the event, expressed their excitement in uniting individuals for a thorough examination and analysis of the repertoire of one of the globe's most significant musical sensations."
Before Taylor arrives, the remainder of the city will hardly resemble an empty canvas.
An array of 11 art installations will adorn the downtown area, forming a 'Taylor Town Trail'.
Every piece will draw inspiration from a distinct era.
Among the artworks are a grand piano cloaked in moss symbolizing the Evermore era and oversized hearts reminiscent of the Lover era.
