It turns out Jennifer Lopez won't be turning up the volume after all.

Subscribers to the On The JLo newsletter received an email from Lopez on Friday, stating, "Representatives for Live Nation announced today that the Jennifer Lopez US Summer 2024 Tour 'THIS IS ME...LIVE' is canceled."

"The announcement conveyed that Jennifer is stepping away to spend time with her children, family, and close friends," it said.

In a personal note to her fans, Lopez expressed deep sorrow and regret. "I am truly heartbroken and devastated to disappoint you. Rest assured, I wouldn't make this decision unless it was absolutely essential," she penned. "I vow to make it up to you, and we will reunite soon. My love for all of you is immense. Until we meet again..."

CNN verified the cancellation of the tour through a Live Nation representative. Lopez had been scheduled to perform at Allstate Arena in Rosemont on July 26.

Ticketmaster stated in an email to CNN, mirroring Lopez's message to her fans, "For those who purchased through Ticketmaster, tickets will automatically be refunded - there is nothing further fans need to do." They also advised, "For those who purchased via third-party resale sites such as SeatGeek, StubHub, VividSeats, etc. - please reach out to your point of purchase for more details."

Amidst recent reports of Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck living apart, this news surfaces. CNN has contacted representatives for both celebrities for their remarks.

The couple tied the knot in July 2022. Lopez's tour was slated to commence on June 26 in Orlando.
