Kate Middleton has reportedly chosen to step back from the spotlight following her prominent appearance at Wimbledon.
Catherine, who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy, has decided to focus on her health and family after a challenging start to 2024.
In an interview with People Magazine, royal author Robert Jobson shared that the Princess of Wales "used to live her life by the calendar, but now she is living her life first, with the calendar coming second."
The royal commentator noted that the future Queen of England would eventually "return," but her cancer diagnosis has "shifted her perspective and reordered her daily royal routine."
It's worth noting that Kate participated in two official royal events—Trooping the Colour and the Wimbledon men's singles final—following the surprising cancer announcement in March.
According to recent reports, she plans to spend her summer at Anmer Hall and Balmoral Castle with her family to recharge while undergoing ongoing treatment.
A palace insider shared with the news outlet that Kate "won’t be in the spotlight. Spending time with her family and simply being herself will help her regain her strength. There will be ample opportunity to concentrate on her recovery."
Regarding Princess Kate's joyful appearance at her favorite sports event and the enthusiastic applause she received, the source noted that this "will have provided her with much-needed encouragement."
She has endured something extremely difficult and stressful, so it is essential to have small victories to look forward to, as they provide the courage and energy needed to move forward. This was one such victory.
