Intermittent rainfall affected various parts of Karachi as the cyclonic storm Asna in the Arabian Sea shifted further westward from the Sindh coast over the last six hours.

Regions experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall include Gurumandir, Numaish, Lasbela, Soldier Bazaar, Tariq Road, I.I. Chundrigar Road, and nearby areas.

In an alert released at 3:25 p.m. today, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted rain and thunderstorms, including some heavy downpours and strong winds, for Karachi and various areas in Sindh.

These weather conditions are influenced by a cyclonic storm located approximately 300 km southwest of Karachi, 230 km south-southwest of Ormara, and 300 km southeast of Gwadar.

The department also noted that the storm is expected to continue moving west-southwest and is not anticipated to make landfall on any coast.
