'Gossip Girl' Star Acknowledges Overlooking 'Major' Plot Element

Kristen Bell, the voice behind the iconic Gossip Girl, has made an unexpected revelation about the legendary TV series.

In an interview with Bustle, the actress shared her recent discovery regarding the filming locations of the 2012 show. She humorously remarked, “The amusing part is that as Gossip Girl, I only recorded my lines from a microphone in Los Angeles; I never shot with the cast.”

Turning to her Nobody Wants This co-star Adam Brody, who is married to Gossip Girl alum Leighton Meester, Bell curiously asked, “I didn’t even know where they filmed. Where did they shoot that show?”

Brody cheekily replied, “Um, Montreal.”

Bell’s reaction was priceless as she responded, “OK, first time I’m hearing of it.”

Prompted by Bell, Brody elaborated, saying, “Well, New York.”

The 44-year-old actress explained that she missed out on this crucial detail about the show because she was fully focused on adding ‘sass’ to its ‘scandalous’ narrative.

For those unfamiliar, Gossip Girl aired for six captivating seasons from 2007 to 2012 and became one of the most-watched series of its time, featuring stars like Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley, and Chace Crawford in leading roles.
