Julian Edelman and Tom Brady Tostitos ad campaign interview

Julian Edelman, a former wide receiver for the New England Patriots, humorously revealed his frustrations with Tom Brady’s texting habits in a recent interview with Us Weekly. The ex-NFL star shared, “I think he’s a little too old for texting,” comparing Brady to grandparents who struggle with technology.

“You know when you show your grandparents how to text? Maybe that's the issue. He reads my messages but doesn’t know how to respond. The guy’s 50—or close to it!” Edelman quipped, referencing the 47-year-old retired quarterback.

Despite the playful ribbing, Edelman hinted that Brady might intentionally leave his texts unanswered, saying, “I know that he sees them, but maybe he just doesn’t want to reply.”

Edelman also expressed admiration for Brady and Rob Gronkowski, their former Patriots teammate. The trio recently reunited for Tostitos' latest ad campaign, highlighting their strong friendship and new post-football journeys.

“It’s special,” Edelman said. “Now that Tom and Rob are retired, it feels like old times. Seeing Tom’s preparation for his new work inspires me to improve at mine, and watching Rob’s approach during our podcast makes me want to step up my game.”
