Sarah Ferguson celebrates daughter's pregnancy without mentioning Prince Andrew.

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, made headlines by celebrating her daughter Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy, notably leaving out any mention of her ex-husband, Prince Andrew.

Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace announced the exciting news that Princess Beatrice, 36, and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their second child. The royal couple, who married in 2020, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new baby.

The official statement from Buckingham Palace read: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three."

The palace also confirmed that King Charles III has been informed, and both families are "delighted" by the news.

Following the royal announcement, Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, shared her own joyous message on social media. The Duchess of York expressed her excitement, saying: "Darling Beatrice. Words can't quite express the joy and excitement I feel as you and Edo prepare to welcome another precious addition to your beautiful family. Becoming a granny again fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude."

She continued: "Watching you grow as a mother has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and now to see your family blossom further is an absolute blessing. Our family is growing, and so too is the love that surrounds us. I cannot wait to meet this little one and to share in all the wonderful memories we will make together. All my love."

However, Fergie's message notably omitted any mention of the new baby's grandfather, Prince Andrew. Despite Sarah and Andrew’s close relationship, her decision to exclude him comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Prince Andrew's past, including his involvement in the 2019 Newsnight interview, dramatized in the Amazon Prime series "A Very Royal Scandal."

Though Sarah and Andrew divorced in 1996, the pair have remained close, continuing to live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor. However, Fergie has seemingly distanced herself from him in public appearances and statements. For example, when paying tribute to her late mother on social media, the duchess shared a wedding photo from her 1986 marriage to Prince Andrew but cropped out the Duke of York, leaving only herself with her late parents.

As Princess Beatrice prepares for her second child's arrival, it seems Sarah Ferguson's focus remains solely on her daughter and growing family.
