Meghan Markle reportedly troubled by Trump’s presidency, considering leaving the U.S.

Meghan Markle’s apparent dismay over Donald Trump’s presidential victory has led to speculation that she may consider relocating out of the United States, according to royal sources.

Following the recent election outcome, commentators have noted that unlike 2020, when the Sussexes were vocal on political matters, Meghan and Prince Harry maintained a more neutral stance this time, merely encouraging voter participation without endorsing specific candidates.

Charlotte Griffiths, Editor at Large for the Daily Mail, shared on GB News that Markle’s feelings about Trump's presidency could impact her residency in the U.S. Griffiths stated, “Meghan will likely be very unsettled living in the U.S. under Trump’s leadership. She’s previously called him a misogynist on live TV and has expressed her disdain openly. A move might be on her mind.”

Trump, for his part, has frequently criticized the Sussexes, especially regarding their behavior toward the late Queen Elizabeth. When asked on GB News about potential "special privileges" for Harry, Trump dismissed the idea, referencing Harry’s admissions in his memoir Spare, where he openly discussed past drug use. "If there are discrepancies in his records, appropriate action would follow,” Trump remarked.

Griffiths suggested, "Harry’s recent purchase of a property in Portugal may prove useful in the coming months." Trump has previously stated he would not offer the couple any special protection within the U.S., asserting that “he would be on his own.”

Eric Trump later addressed questions about Harry’s visa status, telling MailOnline his father “doesn’t care” about Harry’s affairs, downplaying the issue’s importance.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams commented that while Harry’s candid memoir disclosures might create some scrutiny, Trump is unlikely to take drastic measures against him. Fitzwilliams also highlighted that the Sussexes, while avoiding endorsements, have still promoted voting in the U.S. Despite rumors, there’s no sign yet of Meghan pursuing a political path.
