Blake Lively's publicist, Leslie Sloane, has officially moved to dismiss the $400 million lawsuit filed by Justin Baldoni.

On February 20, Sloane’s attorney, Sigrid McCawley, submitted a motion in New York federal court seeking legal fee reimbursement and the removal of Sloane and Vision PR from the countersuit.

According to People Magazine, the motion states that Sloane and her firm were unfairly dragged into the lawsuit as a "smoke and mirrors distraction" from Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliation claims. It further argues there is no valid basis for accusing Sloane of spreading "malicious stories" or leading a "smear campaign."

Sloane’s legal team also highlights that Baldoni’s attorneys fail to specify "where or how extortion occurred" or how Sloane gained anything of value from it.

Lively, 37, remains firm in her stance, with Sloane’s attorneys defending her from Baldoni’s accusations of a power struggle over the film It Ends With Us.

"Baldoni’s claims about creative disputes are baseless and sexist. As an executive producer, Ms. Lively merely offered input on the script, wardrobe, and editing. In response, Baldoni unfairly labeled her as 'tyrannical' and 'aggressive,' using gendered criticism to undermine her."

Furthermore, the filing states:

"When Ms. Lively courageously exposed Baldoni’s predatory behavior, he and his team retaliated, employing every possible tactic to silence and discredit her—including hiring a crisis PR expert who vowed to 'bury' and 'destroy' her life."

The Age of Adaline star has also updated her December lawsuit against Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and others, reinforcing her allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, and an orchestrated online smear campaign aimed at damaging her reputation.
