Tom Hardy Recalls Brutal Summer Scene in Netflix's ‘Havoc’: “I Looked Like a Muppet”

Venom and Mad Max star Tom Hardy gave fans a peek behind the curtain into his intense role in the upcoming Netflix action-thriller ‘Havoc’, which is set to premiere on April 25.

In a candid chat with Radio Times, Hardy opened up about the physical toll of one particular scene—dubbed the “Medusa fight scene”—which left him feeling completely drained due to extreme heat.

"I was in a thermal, a wool shirt, and a T-shirt. And it was summer. After 10 minutes of throwing punches, I told Gareth [Evans], ‘I’m not going to make the day.’”

Hardy admitted he asked director Gareth Evans if he could modify the costume to cope with the heat. Eventually, he was reduced to wearing a bolero-style shirt, Patagonia fleece, and an ice pack strapped to his back just to finish the shoot.

Despite the discomfort, Hardy kept his humor intact:

“By the end, I looked like I was wearing a Muppet suit under the sun.”

The gritty action film promises intense fight choreography, high-stakes drama, and Hardy’s signature raw performance—making it one of Netflix’s most anticipated action releases this spring.
