Bachelorette alum Rachel Lindsay criticizes 'loud' Taylor Swift enthusiasts at NFL matches: 'Lack of respect for the game'

"I despise it. There's no other sentiment that surfaces within me except for sheer disdain."
"If you're a Taylor Swift enthusiast flooding an NFL game in hopes of catching a glimpse of the pop icon cheering for Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, according to The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay, you might be contributing to the issue.
The reality TV personality recently shared her perspective on various topics, including her take on the continued media attention surrounding Swift's rumored relationship with Kelce and the resulting media frenzy, during an episode of The View's affiliated podcast, Behind the Table."
"Yeah, despise it. Despise it. There's no other sentiment that wells up within me but pure disdain," Lindsay replied when View executive producer Brian Teta inquired about her feelings on the matter.
Lindsay, a devoted NFL enthusiast, emphasized her genuine affection for the sport but bemoaned the "exhausting" surge of Swifties fixating on football solely due to its connection with their beloved pop star's romantic life.
"It's a tad overbearing, these Taylor Swift fans. I appreciate their interest in the sport, but for them, it's not about the game itself—it's all about the Taylor–Travis Kelce angle," she expressed. "It's information overload. The media is fueling the frenzy. People show up to games sporting shirts that scream 'Taylor Swift's boyfriend.' It's just a tad disrespectful to the sport, the game, and even to Travis Kelce. I know I'm being rather pessimistic, but I'm struggling to find the enjoyment."
Lindsay went on to acknowledge that the attention has undeniably been a boon for Kelce, asserting that he's "broken into an entirely new audience" thanks to Swift's fan base. Nevertheless, she's not keen on a constant visual barrage of "[Swift] with [Travis' mother] Donna Kelce in the suite, accompanied by whichever famous friends she chooses to bring" to the games.
She concluded her sentiments by conceding that she comprehends the fixation on both Kelce and Swift, as they are both eminent figures in their respective domains.

"I understand," Lindsay acknowledged. "I simply prefer not to have it constantly in my face."
In a similarly amusingly guarded interview on Today earlier in October, Kelce's mother expressed a light sense of frustration regarding her son's chaotic personal life.
"It seems like every week there's something new. Really? It feels like I'm in some sort of alternate universe," Donna Kelce remarked to Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie after being photographed with Swift at a Chiefs game. "It's quite peculiar. But it's enjoyable— it's been a great adventure. Occasionally, it does get a tad irritating, but most of the time people are just so kind, so sweet, and so generous. What mother wouldn't want to hear that their kids are doing well?"
