Deepika Padukone garnered significant acclaim and recognition for her recent cameo in Atlee Kumar's film, "Jawan," featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Presently, she is preparing for her upcoming project, "Fighter," directed by Sidharth Anand, in which she shares the screen with Hrithik Roshan. Meanwhile, there's a recent development concerning her Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood classic, "The Intern," where she stars alongside megastar Amitabh Bachchan. According to reports, filming for the movie is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2024.

News 18 recently reported that Deepika Padukone is set to venture into her second production following Chhapaak, titled The Intern. She is involved in the project both as a producer and an actor. Unfortunately, the film has faced delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

The same source disclosed that The Intern is scheduled to commence filming in the first quarter of 2024, following the release of Fighter, a film in which Deepika stars alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. The source mentioned, "If all goes well, filming is expected to kick off in January–February next year. While Deepika is confirmed for the initial schedule, the timing of Big B's involvement in shooting remains uncertain.

In 2021, Pinkvilla exclusively revealed that after careful consideration of various candidates, Amit Sharma, the director of Badhaai Ho, had been officially chosen for The Intern film. The unanimous decision by The Intern's entire team solidified Amit Sharma as the director.

The first look poster of The Intern remake, shared in 2021, indicated that the film would be co-produced by Sunil Kheterpal, in collaboration with Warner Brothers India, Ka Productions, and Azure Entertainment. The adapted storyline was crafted by Akshat Ghildail. Initially slated for a summer 2022 release, the film held promise for an exciting cinematic experience.

Yesterday, the initial glimpse of Hrithik in the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty, was unveiled in the first-look poster directed by Sidharth Anand. The reveal has ignited significant excitement across social media platforms.
