The "Power of Love" singer delivered a memorable performance of “Hymne à l’amour” by French icon Édith Piaf, set against the stunning backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.
Recently, the Grammy-winning artist opened up about her struggle with stiff-person syndrome in the Amazon Prime Video documentary, "I Am: Céline Dion." The documentary revealed that the 56-year-old French-Canadian nearly succumbed to the disease.

“It’s not hard to do a show now; it’s hard to cancel one,” Dion shared. “I’m putting in the effort every day, but I have to admit — it’s been a challenge. I miss it so much. I miss the people. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. I won’t stop.”
The Opening Ceremony also featured performances by Lady Gaga and French-Malian pop star Aya Nakamura.
Dion's performance concluded the Opening Ceremony and marked the start of the Olympic Games, signaling what could be the beginning of her musical comeback.
