King Charles III delivers heartfelt message in video after Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew leave Royal Lodge.

The British monarchy is abuzz after King Charles III issued a statement following Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s unexpected departure from the Royal Lodge. Their move comes amidst longstanding disputes over the royal residence.

In a recently released video, the monarch shared a touching memory from his childhood as part of the TV documentary Coronation Girls.

The King’s statement, accompanying the video, reads:

"The King recalls a special childhood memory ahead of his mother’s Coronation in 1953…"

The documentary, which aired in Canada during Christmas, highlights the journey of 50 Canadian women who traveled to London to witness Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation as teenagers.

Fast forward to 2023, twelve of these women returned to London, where they were hosted by King Charles III at a special tea event at Buckingham Palace.

For those unfamiliar, Coronation Girls offers an emotional retelling of these women’s extraordinary voyage across the Atlantic in the summer of 1953 to be part of history.

The King’s warm reception of these ladies at Buckingham Palace underscored the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation and provided a personal connection to the past.

Notably, the release of this video coincides with Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s move from the Royal Lodge to Windsor Castle. Reports suggest that the Royal Lodge has been at the center of a dispute between the King and the Duke of York.

King Charles has expressed his desire for Prince Andrew to relocate to Frogmore Cottage, citing the Royal Lodge's high maintenance costs. However, the Duke of York remains resistant to this proposal, standing firm despite the King’s request.

The situation adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing dynamics within the royal family, leaving royal watchers keenly observing for further updates.
