Lady Gaga Reflects on Past "Bad Decisions" in Upcoming Album "LG7"
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the renowned pop icon described the forthcoming February release as a genre-bending collection inspired by the "chaos" of her life and the valuable lessons she's learned throughout her career.
"Every song I wrote," Gaga shared, "I kept getting swept away in these different dreams about the past – almost like a recollection of all these bad decisions I've made." However, she emphasizes that the album ultimately culminates in a "very happy place," offering a message of hope and growth.
"LG7" marks a significant return to pop music for Gaga, a genre she credits her fiancé, Michael Polansky, with inspiring her to re-embrace.
The album is already generating excitement with the release of the lead single, "Disease," a dark and danceable pop anthem that peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100. Furthermore, the cinematic ballad "Die with a Smile," a captivating collaboration with Bruno Mars that reigned supreme on the Billboard Global 200 for eight consecutive weeks, is poised to be a cornerstone of the album.
"It's a huge part of my album," Gaga revealed about the duet. "It was like this missing piece… the idea of what we would do if the world was ending."
