Vanessa Hudgens and husband Cole Tucker celebrate the arrival of their first baby

On social media, the 'High School Musical' alum announced, 'Mom, dad, and baby are joyful and in good health.'

Vanessa Hudgens, known for her role in High School Musical, and her husband Cole Tucker, a professional baseball player, have joyfully welcomed their first child.

"Mom, dad, and baby are joyful and in good health," Hudgens shared in an Instagram Story on Thursday.

"The couple, who wed last year, were photographed leaving a Santa Monica hospital. Hudgens was in a wheelchair, holding their newborn, in images released by TMZ on Wednesday.

"We're saddened by the invasion of our family's privacy during this precious time, caused by a long-lens camera's pursuit of media profit," Hudgens expressed in her July 4th statement."

"Hudgens' representatives did not respond immediately to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment.

This update follows Hudgens' April debut of her baby bump at the 96th Academy Awards red carpet, four months ago."

"On the day Tucker turned 28, Hudgens commemorated the occasion with a carousel of photos on Instagram.

"Happy birthday to my slice of heaven @cotuck," she wrote. "You bring brightness to the world just by being yourself."

"In May, the Tick, Tick, BOOM actress shared with E! News her anticipation of a particular aspect of motherhood: introducing her career to her children.

"I plan to show my kids all my work," Hudgens expressed to the outlet. "That's why I've chosen projects throughout my career—to ensure there's something for them to enjoy at every stage of their lives."

Hudgens and Tucker, whose dating rumors first sparked in November 2020, exchanged vows in Tulum, Mexico on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Prior to their private ceremony, they were captured in beach photos, with Hudgens elegantly dressed in white. In a subsequent interview with Vogue, they shared enchanting details about their special day.

"I feel incredibly thankful for our private wedding," Hudgens expressed to the outlet. "Even talking about it now, I'm getting emotional. It couldn't have been more perfect. I knew it would be special, but it surpassed all my expectations."
