Edoardo Sparks Royal Baby Buzz with Subtle Hints Ahead of Announcement

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, husband of Princess Beatrice, may have subtly hinted at his wife’s pregnancy weeks before the official announcement. The 40-year-old real estate developer, who runs the successful property firm BANDA, seemed to fuel speculation by sharing an image of a tastefully decorated nursery, which was a marked shift from his company’s usual posts showcasing modern kitchens and stylish interiors.

The social media post, shared on BANDA's account with over 230,000 followers, featured several photos of a beautifully designed playroom, tailored for a toddler. This departure from the typical sleek designs stirred curiosity. The caption read: "Floating colorful balloons as pendants and sconces, with calming wallpaper evoking the sky, and a giraffe that brings cherished memories for the homeowners."

The potential royal baby will be a younger sibling to Princess Beatrice and Edoardo’s three-year-old daughter, Sienna, and step-sibling to Wolfie, Edoardo’s eight-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Two new family photos were also shared to celebrate the joyous news. One picture captures little Sienna, her blonde hair adorned with a red bow, walking alongside her father and big brother Wolfie. Dressed in a vibrant blue waterproof suit decorated with birds and clouds and yellow wellies, Sienna held hands with her family as they strolled down a countryside path.

In another heartwarming image, Beatrice, wearing a black puffer jacket, smiles radiantly as she is embraced by her husband, Edoardo, who gazes lovingly at her.

Beatrice, the eldest daughter of the Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, will welcome her second child, the fourth grandchild for her parents. When counting Wolfie, the number rises to five. Sarah shared her excitement in a touching message to her daughter, writing: "Becoming a granny again fills my heart with happiness and gratitude. I cannot wait to meet this little one and create more beautiful memories together."

In a celebratory photo posted by Sarah, Beatrice is seen kneeling beside her daughter, Sienna, who is dressed in an adorable flower-girl-style dress with a pale turquoise bow.

Buckingham Palace also confirmed the news, stating, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child together, due in early spring. A sibling for Wolfie, 8, and Sienna, 3.”

The new baby, who will not carry the title of HRH, is set to be 11th in line to the throne, moving Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s younger sister, to 12th place. Eugenie’s sons, August and Ernest Brooksbank, will then be 13th and 14th in line to the British throne.

This baby will also be the 14th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the second to be born following the monarch’s passing in 2022, with the birth of Ernest Brooksbank last year.
